David Fincher has also cast Damon Herriman as Manson in the upcoming second season of the Netflix show.

AceShowbiz - Damon Herriman has been cast to play Charles Manson in two high-profile projects.

On Wednesday, August 29, editors at The Wrap reported that Quentin Tarantino had cast the Australian actor, who is best known for his role as Dewey Crowe in FX's "Justified", to play the cult leader in his movie "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood". The film is currently in production and also stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie and Al Pacino.

And according to website Collider, David Fincher has also cast Herriman as Manson in the upcoming second season of Netflix show "Mindhunter".

Collider reports that Herriman will portray Manson circa the late '60s in the Tarantino film, while his appearance in "Mindhunter" will be set in the '80s, when the Sharon Tate killer was already incarcerated.

Herriman's casting for Mindhunter wasn't previously announced, but he's already reportedly completed filming his scenes for Fincher's show.

At present there is no release date for season two, the first debuted in October 2017. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is set for release in July 2019.

A representative for Netflix declined to comment to the news outlet.

Herriman, 48, who has had minor roles in "Breaking Bad" and "Top of the Lake: China Girl" will soon be seen in Jennifer Kent's "The Nightingale", which is set to premiere at the Venice Film Festival.
