AceShowbiz - Being engaged to one of the most popular stars in the world apparently still feels like a dream for Pete Davidson, to the point that he believes there's something wrong with Ariana Grande when she accepted his proposal. The funnyman recently dished on his proposal in his cover story for Variety's Power of Young Hollywood issue.
Recalling the moment when he proposed to the songstress, Pete revealed that he did it in the most chill way possible. "I didn't want to do something corny," he told the magazine, adding that he casually popped the question in bed. "We were in bed hanging, after watching a movie. I was like, 'Will you marry me?' It was really dope."
Pete didn't expect Ariana to accept his proposal. Thus, when the Nickelodeon alum said yes, he believed there was something wrong in her head. "I'm still convinced she's blind or hit her head really hard," he shared. "Something is going to happen, and she's going to be like, 'What the f**k is this thing doing around?' For right now, it's rocking."
"I never thought I'd meet anyone like her. I can't even put into words how great of a person she is," the "Saturday Night Live" star continued, gushing over his fiancee. "I could cry. She's the f***ing coolest, hottest, nicest person I've ever met." He added, "I'm f***ing living the goddamn dream. I feel like I'm living in a fantasyland."
Ariana has also previously spilled details about his proposal during her appearance on radio show "Zach Sang Show", revealing she was glad her comedian fiance "didn't get on a knee." Insisting that a romantic proposal wasn't her style, she added, "That would've been so googly."
Pete and Ariana announced their engagement in late June after one month of dating. It's unknown when they will tie the knot.
