The 'No Tears Left to Cry' hitmaker is glad the 'Saturday Night Live' star 'didn't get on the knee or anything,' otherwise 'that would've been so googly.'

AceShowbiz - Ariana Grande was relieved that Pete Davidson's proposal was "really simple and sweet".
The 24-year-old Saturday Night Live star and comedian popped the question to the No Tears Left To Cry hitmaker in June, with a $93,000 (£73,000) diamond ring.
Ariana opened up about her whirlwind engagement during a radio interview on the Zach Sang Show, and revealed Pete's proposal was straight to the point.
"It was just really simple and really sweet," the 25-year-old said. "We were just like hanging out and he had a ring and he just asked me. It was really sweet. He didn't get on the knee or anything, thank God... oh my God, that would've been so googly".
She confessed she never saw herself getting married, however, her feelings changed when she met Pete.
"I'm not like a very traditional person, so the fact that I'm even getting married is something I never even saw coming. I never saw that coming, like, I never wanted that, like, I was, 'F**k that, there's no point.' I was like, 'What's the point?' And then I kinda understood it when it was like, with the right person," Ariana explained.
The couple, who went public with their romance back in May, recently moved into a $16 million (£12.5 million) New York apartment.
Ariana and Pete first met back in 2016, when the singer performed as a musical guest on SNL. She recently admitted on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that she had a crush on Pete, and told her tour manager at the time: "I'm marrying him 100 percent".
Pete confessed to similar feelings in an interview with GQ magazine, saying, "The day I met her, I was like, 'Hey, I'll marry you tomorrow'".
