AceShowbiz - Ryan Lochte has been suspended from competitive swimming again after violating the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency's rules.

The 33-year-old sportsman foolishly posted a now-deleted Instagram photo of himself receiving an IV treatment in May.

The treatment violated a rule that prohibits infusions or injections in a volume greater than 100 millileters within a 12-hour period, according to USA Today.

Defending his actions, Lochte said, "I have never taken a prohibitive substance. I have never attempted to gain any advantage by putting anything illegal in my body. I would never do that; this is very serious to me.

"Unfortunately, while the rule is a newer rule and is not widely known as others, I should know better".

Ryan was previously suspended from swimming in competitions after lying about a drunken night out and a bogus mugging incident during the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics.
