Princess Charlotte Cheekily Tells Photographers They're Not Invited to Brother's Christening Party

With her confident nature, the little princess told the photographers, 'You're not coming.'

AceShowbiz - On Monday, July 9, Prince Louis was christened at the Royal Chapel at St James' Palace in London. While it was his day, his big sister Princess Charlotte managed to steal the attention. The 3-year-old royal was caught in camera making a cheeky remark to the photographers who waited outside the palace.

The little princess looked adorable in a baby blue dress as she walked beside her father Prince William, who held her hand. With her confident nature, the little princess told the photographers, "You're not coming." The Duke of Cambridge appeared to hear what his daughter said and flashed a smile.

Princess Charlotte didn't stop there, though. After reminding them that they were not invited to her brother's party, she adorably kept a watchful eye on the media pack.

The christening party of the newly addition to the royal family was attended by many royal family members, including Prince Charles, Camilla, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Queen Elizabeth II, however, was absent from the occasion due to her busy schedule.

For his big day, Prince Louis was reportedly gifted a first-edition "Winnie the Pooh" book that cost around $10,620 by his uncle Prince Harry. An unnamed source told The Sun that the Duke of Sussex had initially planned to get Lewis Carroll's "Through the Looking-Glass", "on sale" for $32,000. However, he "decided Winnie the Pooh would be more suitable for a first tome."

As for the reason why Harry chose a book for a baby, it was said because "one of Harry's happiest childhood memories was being read a bedtime story by his mother." The source added, "She loved all the old classics, and Harry had the brilliant idea of starting a little library of first editions for Louis, Charlotte, and George to enjoy as they get older."

Prince Louis' service was conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Reverend Justin Welby. The Archbishop christened Prince George in October 2013 and Charlotte in July 2015. He also officiated the Duke and Duchess of Sussex' royal wedding.

Guests who attended the christening were served tea and fruit cake, which was originally baked for and served at the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's wedding in 2011. Designed by Fiona Cairns, the cake consisted of 17 individual fruit cakes and had eight tiers. It was decorated with roughly 900 flowers and leaves using cream and white icing.
