AceShowbiz - Taylor Swift wasn't throwing a Fourth of July party this year. Instead of hosting another epic bash with her A-list friends at her home in Rhode Island, she enjoyed a romantic getaway with her boyfriend Joe Alwyn in Turks and Caicos.
The 28-year-old pop star and the British actor were photographed frolicking in the ocean during the Independence Day holiday. At one point, she was seen snuggling up to her beau while in the water. They spent the day snorkeling and soaking up the sun.
"They were lovey-dovey," a source tells PEOPLE. Taylor wore a red-and-white striped, retro-inspired two piece swimsuit, while the 27-year-old actor sported a blue-and-white swimming trunks. It looked like they were still in the festivity spirit as shown with their choice of wardrobes despite being away from the country.
It was a much-deserved break for Taylor who has been hitting the road since early May for her "Reputation Stadium" Tour. She is currently in the North American leg of the tour and will visit Australia and New Zealand, before concluding it in Japan in November.
Taylor and Joe have been dating since May 2017, but they've managed to keep their relationship private. The "Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk" star is reportedly attending her shows whenever he can.
"Joe is just an amazing boyfriend," a source recently told PEOPLE. "He is very supportive. Taylor adores his family. She's in a very good place."
