AceShowbiz - Justin Bieber has dodged a warrant for his arrest over a missed deposition relating to his 2014 vandalism incident.

The Baby hitmaker previously completed probation for a charge of misdemeanour vandalism following the egg-throwing attack on the property owned by his former Calabasas, California neighbours Jeffrey and Suzanne Schwartz, but he is still dealing with a civil suit relating to the case, for which he had to pay $80,000 (£61,000) to cover damages.

Lawyers for the Schwartzes had been due to quiz the pop superstar on 22 June over allegations suggesting he had terrorised the family with parties and aggressive driving during his time in the neighbourhood, but Bieber skipped the hearing and was instead spotted hanging out with his girlfriend, Hailey Baldwin, in New York.

The plaintiffs subsequently called on the Los Angeles judge overseeing the dispute to issue an arrest warrant for Bieber and fine him $1,000 (£760) for each day which passes before he sits for the deposition, but the singer's representatives hit back, telling TMZ.com they had been trying to reschedule the June date to no avail.

Now it appears the two sides have reached an agreement on a new deposition date, as on Tuesday, July 03, the judge decided against granting the bench warrant.

Jeffrey Schwartz had previously also accusing the 24-year-old of engaging in "obfuscation and delay tactics", amid claims he had missed five depositions in two years.
