AceShowbiz - One of the elephants Michael Jackson used to keep on his Neverland Ranch briefly wandered free from its enclosure at a zoo in Florida on Sunday, June 17.

Ali the bull elephant escaped through a barn gate at the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens, which had accidentally been left open by an employee, but the animal didn't get far.

Zoo officials explained the incident in a post on Facebook: "(Ali) ended up in a courtyard behind the giraffe and elephant barn. While guests were never in danger, safety protocols went into place and Zoo staff immediately jumped into action to get the big guy back where he belonged. His keepers were able to quickly and safely walk Ali back into his enclosure with some food encouragement".

Ali has been living at the zoo since 1997.
