AceShowbiz - Movie star Jeff Goldblum unveilled a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles on Thursday, June 14.

The 65-year-old actor was joined by his wife, Emilie Livingston, and their two children at the street ceremony in front of the Hologram USA Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard, while Ed Begley Jr., who appeared alongside Jeff in the 1985 comedy Transylvania 6-5000, presented his pal with the coveted honour.

In his acceptance speech, the Pennsylvania native made reference to his Hollywood namesake day, which came with the star honour.

"What is the appropriate way to celebrate Jeff Goldblum Day?" he asked, suggesting fans should join him at his favourite restaurant and bar, Musso & Frank Grill "across the road", and "get liquored up and then all go to my house for a pool party," he joked.

The event coincided with the release of his latest film, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, and comes just weeks after Goldblum landed a major jazz deal with bosses at fabled British record label Decca.
