Despite the exit, it doesn't seem like Wally will be killed off in the upcoming season 5 of 'The Flash'.

AceShowbiz - "The Flash" and "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" lose one of its speedsters. Keiynan Lonsdale takes to his Twitter account to announce that he won't be reprising his character as Wally West a.k.a. Kid Flash on The CW's shows.

"I've changed a lot in the past year ... and for infinite reasons my perspective on life and what I want from it is just completely different," the Australian actor shares. "Because of that my heart told me it was the right time to continue my journey on an unknown path, and I'm so damn grateful to both shows for honouring and respecting me with that."

The actor, who joined the Arrowverse as a series regular in the second season of "The Flash", continues, "Thank you for believing in me & rooting for Wally to thrive, you honestly helped me see that i did indeed deserve to play him, & that s**t right there made me a stronger actor."

Keiynan hints at his future project, though he doesn't specifically say what would that be. "I hope you stick around for the new adventures, the only thing I can promise is Magic," he says.

He also assures that his exit from the DC superheroes series isn't "a total goodbye or a 'see ya never' " type of situation. He adds, "Wally West will still be round when you need him the most! :) It's just that it won't be full time anymore."

Despite the exit, it doesn't seem like Wally will be killed off in the upcoming season 5 of "The Flash". Fans assume that the character will be going on a new journey or retire from the superhero life. With that, it allows Keiynan to come back once in a while.

Both "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" and "The Flash" are scheduled to return for new seasons this fall on The CW.
