Designer Jayson Brunsdon reveals that the late Princess Diana refused to wear Chanel because the logo reminded her of Prince Charles and Camilia Parker Bowles.

AceShowbiz - Princess Diana refused to wear Chanel after her divorce as the interlocking double C logo reminded her of Prince Charles and Camilia Parker Bowles.
Camilla, who went on to marry the British royal in 2005 and become the Duchess of Cornwall, dated Charles before he married Diana in 1981, with the pair also embarking on an affair during his time with the late princess.
And in an interview with Harper's Bazaar Australia, designer Jayson Brunsdon has revealed that Charles and Camilla's relationship was the reason why Diana declined to wear a pair of shoes from the luxury French label when they worked together in 1996.
"She came out holding like handfuls of shoes and bags and just dumped them all down on the couch," Jayson recalled. "Then said, 'What do you think?', so I went through them all and I found a pair of Chanel shoes, and I said, 'Well these would look great with the Versace,' and she said, 'No, I can't wear linked Cs, the double C.' So, I asked why, and she said, 'It's Camilla and Charles.'"
Diana and Charles' divorce had only been finalised a few months before she flew Down Under, for her final visit to the country before her tragic death the following year.
On Saturday (May 19), Diana's youngest son, Prince Harry, will marry American actress Meghan Markle at Windsor Castle in England.
It's not yet known who has designed the Suits star's wedding dress, though some are speculating it could be David Emanuel, who created Diana's gown, after he was spotted in Windsor on Thursday.
Speaking on a recent Fox TV special about the royal wedding, David also shared what he'd go for if he were the dress designer.
"What would I put Meghan in? Something sleek and clean, quite bodied with a long train, and I'd put her in a clinging silk crepe," he stated, adding: "But, you know, she can't be the sex bomb on her wedding day. She can look smouldering and wonderful, but it's got to be regal."
