The rocker will join X Japan during the band's set on Saturday, April 21 although he reveals that he's banned from the festival.

AceShowbiz - Marilyn Manson is set to test an apparent Coachella festival ban by hitting the stage with rockers X Japan this weekend. The shock rocker will guest during the band's set on Saturday, and reveals he hopes event bosses will let the show go ahead.

"I am happy to join my great friend @yoshikiofficial and X Japan at Coachella on Saturday the 21st for a special performance," Manson wrote on Instagram, later tweeting, "I never thought I would play at a festival I was banned from. But... Yoshiki invited me to join the stage with XJAPAN. You don't want to miss this one."

Manson didn't elaborate on why he was banned from Coachella and festival bosses have yet to comment on his remarks.

X Japan made their Coachella debut last weekend, playing a set that featured guest spots from Wes Borland and Guns N' Roses star Richard Fortus, and holograms of deceased bandmates Taiji and Hide.
