Besides the controversial ad, the latest update of Snapchat is one of the reasons why the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model decides to stop using the platform.

AceShowbiz - Snapchat has been in hot water these days following a controversial ad that made reference to Rihanna and Chris Brown's scandal. Most recently, Chrissy Teigen has decided to quit the platform, taking to Twitter to explain why she did that.

Besides the controversial ad, the latest update of the app was one of the reasons why she stopped using Snapchat. "I stopped using snap," she tweeted. "The update, the constant complaints of people not being able to find me, plus the Rihanna poll...no bueno."

The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model's announcement came two weeks after Rihanna called out the social media app for shaming victims of domestic violence. "Now SNAPCHAT I know you already know you ain't my fav app out there! But I'm trying to figure out what the point was with this mess! I'd love to call it ignorance, but I know you ain't that dumb!" she wrote on Instagram Stories.

She continued, "You spent money to animate something that would internationally bring shame to DV victims and made a joke out of it!!! This isn't about my personal feelings, cause I don't have much of them... but all the women, children and men that have been victims of DV in the past and especially the ones who haven't made it out yet... you let us down! Shame on you. Throw the whole app-oligy away."

Snapchat has issued an apology following the backlash. According to the group, the advertiser has since been blocked from the platfom. The mobile game manufacturer has not responded to the controversy.
