Lea Michele Hits Back at Rumors That She's Secretly Illiterate

The 31-year-old actress shuts down the rumors by replying to a Twitter fan, 'Loved READING this tweet and wanted to WRITE you back.'

AceShowbiz - Rumors have been circulating around the internet saying that Lea Michele is secretly illiterate. Superfans Jaye Hunt and Robert Ackerman were the one who started the rumors during a Facebook Live, claiming that they had "evidence" to prove that.

Hunt and Ackerman pointed out that the evidence came from fellow "Glee" alum Naya Rivera, who said in her book "Sorry Not Sorry" that Michele refused to improvise her lines. They went on discussing her previous experience on Broadway as a young girl and the lack of spoken lines she had, pointing out that she only had "to learn, like, four words" for her role in "Ragtime".

The two also referenced Michele's Instagram captions, which were often short or only contained emojis. They argued that Michele put longer caption to accompany pictures that were taken by someone else. It prompted them to believe that she didn't write it herself.

After the video went viral, many fans started poking fun at her overuse of emojis. Some others, meanwhile, made fun of her by sharing a picture of Michele reading a script. The rumors, however, have been quickly debunked by Michele herself.

"Loved READING this tweet and wanted to WRITE you back," she replied to a Twitter fan who said that Michele must be "laughing her head off right now." The 31-year-old actress continued, adding kiss and heart emojis, "Literally laughing out loud at all this. Love you!!!"

Those rumors aside, Michele is currently enjoying her getaway in Hawaii with her loved ones, including mom Edith Sarfati. The "Scream Queens" star shared several photos from her vacation, including one which showed her rocking a neon one-piece while showing off her toned figure. Her body ink was also clearly on display. She simply captioned the sizzling pic, "Never leaving...," adding a palm tree, a sun and a wave emojis.
