AceShowbiz - Amy Poehler seems to be getting a huge amount of jobs and responsibilities on her hands. Besides starring in Netflix comedy "Wine Country", the actress-turned-producer will direct and produce the film.
"Wine country" will take place in Napa Valley where a group of female friends gather for a wine-soaked 50th birthday party. The crew will ride around the valley, visiting wineries and provoking hilarious troubles.
The film will also feature "Saturday Night Live" alums and comedians like Rachel Dratch, Ana Gasteyer, Paula Pell, Maya Rudolph, Emily Spivey and Tina Fey who are close to Amy. The script will be penned by Amy's "Parks and Recreation" collaborator Emily and Liz Cackowski, who also wrote for "SNL".
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Amy will produce the film via her Paper Kite Productions. Along with her, Paper Pictures' Carla Hacken, who is known for producing "Brad's Status", produces the film with Morgan Sacket, a veteran TV producer who has "Park and Recreation", "Veep" and "Seinfeld" among his credits, producing through Dunshire Productions'.
The principal photography will begin towards the end of March in Los Angeles and Napa, Ca. Being one of the famous districts in the world for its wine production, Napa was the setting for Keanu Reeves' 1995 drama "A Walk in the Clouds".
The cast then confirmed the news in a musical post on Twitter.
