The Olympic gold medalist and the 32-year-old beauty welcomed their second child, a baby boy named Beckett Richard Phelps, on Monday, February 12. The couple took to Instagram the following day to announce the happy news.
Michael was the first one to announce it, sharing a sweet snap of his beaming wife and 1-year-old son Boomer holding their new bundle of joy while lying in a hospital bed.
"Magical moments yesterday... Nicole and I would like to introduce Beckett Richard Phelps to the world! We had a wealthy baby boy and a healthy mama," he wrote in the caption. "I truly do feel like the happiest man in the world. Being able to build our family to now 4 (6 with doggies) is so incredible! #familyof4now."
Nicole also took to to her own account to share a similar picture. Michael was seen in the snap this time, sweetly holding Nicole's hand as he gazed lovingly at his newborn son. "Our family grew by 1 yesterday," so she wrote along with the pic. "Meet Beckett Richard Phelps. I'm surrounded by boys and I couldn't be any happier."
Michael and Nicole, who tied the knot in a secret ceremony in 2016, announced that they were expecting second child last August. The 32-year-old swimmer shared the news to his Instagram followers along with a pic of Nicole holding their first child while flashing a big smile. Broomer, meanwhile, looked adorable as he stuck his tongue out while holding a popsicle.
"Number 2 on the way!!! So excited!! Wonder if it's a boy or a girl??" Michael wrote in the caption. Nicole shared on the photo-sharing platform the same picture along with a note, "Lil mans going to be a Big Brother!!!"
