AceShowbiz - The answers to why and how Olivia Pope (%cKerry Washington%) and Annalise Keating (%cViola Davis%) unite in the upcoming "Scandal" and "How to Get Away with Murder" crossover are finally here. After weeks of speculation, ABC has released official loglines of the much-anticipated crossover event.
In the "Scandal" episode titled "Allow Me to Reintroduce Myself", Olivia "gets an unexpected visitor in criminal defense attorney Annalise Keating in the midst of moving on from the White House." Annalise "seeks her help in fast-tracking a judicial reform class action to the United States Supreme Court. However, after Olivia's recent fall from political grace, it's going to be more challenging than ever to get the support they need."
Alongside Davis, %cAja Naomi King% is tapped to guest star in the episode, which is helmed by %cTony Goldwyn%. Meanwhile, Raamla Mohamed pens the script.
Meanwhile, the description for "How to Get Away with Murder" episode titled "Lahey v. Commonwealth of Pennsylvania" reads, "As Annalise's class-action case hangs in the balance, a meeting with the esteemed Washington D.C. fixer, Olivia Pope, proves to be crucial in getting the opportunity to argue her case in the nation’s highest court. Meanwhile, Bonnie discovers concerning information pertaining to Simon that threatens to expose what really happened during the night he was shot."
%cCornelius Smith Jr.% will appear in the episode, which is written by Morenike Balogun and Sarah L. Thompson, along with Washington. Zetna Fuentes serves behind the lens.
ABC has also unveiled two trailers of the two-hour event. The trailers see that the upcoming crossover will be packed with drama as Olivia can be heard telling Annalise, "This is my town, my game, my rules."
The two-hour event kicks off on Thursday, March 1 at 9 P.M. with a new "Scandal" episode featuring Davis, followed by an "HTGAWM" episode with Washington's appearance at 10 P.M.
