In addition to the premiere date, FX releases a new synopsis which offers some more clues on what to happen to the all-powerful psychic mutant in the sophomore season.

AceShowbiz - Season 2 of "Legion" will arrive soon, guys! FX announced on Tuesday, February 6 that the X-Men-related series would premiere its second season this coming April.

Alongside the premiere date, the network offers some more clues on what will happen to the all-powerful psychic mutant in the sophomore season through a newly-released synopsis, which reads, "In an epic showdown, David (%cDan Stevens%) and his friends battled his demon, ultimately forcing it from David's body. Unfortunately, Farouk found a new host - Melanie's husband Oliver Bird (%cJemaine Clement%) - and escaped."

The synopsis continues, "Just when they thought they'd earned a moment of respite, a mysterious orb appeared and took David away to an unknown place. With David and Oliver missing and Farouk on the loose, the team forms an unlikely alliance with their former enemy Clark (%cHamish Linklater%) and his well-funded government organization, Division III. Meanwhile, Amahl Farouk (%cNavid Negahban%) is on a new path to attaining infinite and world-ending power."

The first season of "Legion" saw David being captured and carted off by a mysterious floating device after seemingly defeating the Shadow King. The upcoming season 2 reportedly will feature a big jump with the intention to make viewers feel as disoriented as David does.

Based on the Marvel Comics by Chris Claremont and Bill Sienkiewicz, "Legion" is the story of David Haller, a man who believed himself to be schizophrenic only to discover that he may be the most powerful mutant the world has ever seen. "Legion" is created and executive produced by Noah Hawley. The upcoming season seemingly will feature a new musical number performed by %cAubrey Plaza%'s Lenny and Oliver.

The highly-anticipated season 2 of "Legion" will premiere on Tuesday, April 3 at 10 P.M. on FX.
