People can't seem to stop wondering about the details of the upcoming royal wedding of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. One of the biggest questions is about Meghan's bridal party. Since the former "Suits" actress has a slew of celebrity pals, including Priyanka Chopra, Serena Williams and Abigail Spencer, will we see them serving as the bride-to-be's bridesmaids?
Priyanka addresses it in a new interview for Harper's Bazaar Arabia. The "Quantico" star coyly says, "If you see me there, you'll know."
Priyanka later criticizes media which often dubs her BFF "Prince Harry's girlfriend," explaining, "It's natural for people to be like, 'Oh, that's Prince Harry's girlfriend,' but she's a lot more, as well."
The "Baywatch" actress continues telling the magazine, "I don't think anybody else would be able to do it the way she will. She's just right for it. She's an icon, truly, that girls can look up to, that women can look up to. She's normal, she's sweet, she's nice, she thinks about the world, wants to change it and this was even before any of this happened."
"So I do think Meghan being a part of the royal family is a big step in the direction of so many things; of women, of feminism, of diversity, of race, of the monarchy versus everyone else. It's a beautiful step in the right direction," she says while smiling.
Meghan reportedly will bring some adjustments to the British royal tradition at her upcoming wedding to Harry. According to The Sunday Times, the 36-year-old beauty will give a speech at her and Harry's upcoming wedding on behalf of her father Thomas, breaking the royal tradition. "She wants to have the chance to thank her husband and everyone who has supported them," a source previously told the site. While in England it is usually the groom, father of the bride and the best man who make speeches after the ceremony, "Harry thinks it's a great idea."
