AceShowbiz - SM Entertainment announced that it would be releasing late Jonghyun's posthumous album "Poet | Artist" last week. The said album was released online on Tuesday, December 23 along with a music video for its lead track "Shinin' ".
The nearly-three-minute retro clip features the late SHINee member belting out the electronic pop track in various places, including a radio station and in front of a music studio. There is also a scene where he is seen sitting on a radio and a cassette. "No matter how I look, my hands and feet do not speak, yes the eyes are far away," he sings over the trap beats. "Make it more comfortable, baby that's your location."
After watching the clip, many fans of Jonghyun pointed that he looked different in this music video. One fan took to the comment section and wrote, "I'm not sure what it is but Jonghyun looked different here. I'm crying tears of sadness and happiness that he doesn't have to suffer anymore. I love him."
In addition to the lead track, "Poet | Artist" includes ten more songs that range across diverse genres such as pop, future bass, acoustic ballad and more. Five songs off the album like electro synth-pop "Only One You Need" and pop-punk track "Sightseeing" were revealed at Jonghyun's last solo concert "Inspired", which was held on December 9 and 10 last year.
All profits from the sale of the album will be given to Jonghyun's mother and be used for the establishment of an organization to help those living in difficult circumstances.
On the other hand, the remaining members of SHINee will continue as four and are scheduled to hold a concert in Japan next month. Onew and the other members announced the concert earlier this month, penning handwritten letters to their dedicated fan army Shawol. Key also delivered on Instagram a heartwarming message to fans along with an update of his activities.
