As Selena's mom Mandy Teefey and Justin's mom Pattie Mallette are ready to argue their sides, 'it could get real ugly,' says an insider.

AceShowbiz - Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber's moms seemingly just can't help getting themselves involved in their kids' love lives. Since the former Disney darling and the Canadian pop star rekindled their romance, Justin's mom Pattie Mallette has been supportive of the two's relationship, while Selena's mom Mandy Teefey reportedly disapproves their reunion.
Now, the two matriarchs are reportedly planning a face-to-face meeting to discuss their kids' relationship. It's hard to tell if they will be able to find a solution for the issue as Life & Style says that they are ready to argue their sides.
In fact, some people around Mandy fear that things could get ugly after the meetup. "People in Mandy's camp are saying it could get real ugly," says an insider. "Mandy says Justin is trouble and immature, and she wants to knock some sense into Pattie and tell her their kids are better off apart."
Of why Mandy resents Selena and Justin's reconciliation, the insider explains, "She's seen the highs and lows of their relationship up close and she's not a fan." But Pattie doesn't agree and thinks she can change Mandy's mind. "These women are not on the same page," the insider adds. "This is going to be a very interesting meeting."
As reported before, Selena and her mom had a heated argument after Mandy found out that Selena and Justin were in couples therapy. Mandy flipped realizing the relationship was going to be more long-term than she thought. Selena and Mandy have since unfollowed each other on Instagram.
However, recent report suggested that Selena's relationship with her mom had been complicated in the past few years, after she parted ways with Mandy as her manager in 2014. After Selena fired her mom as her manager, "it caused a huge rift in their relationship. Mandy wouldn't even let Selena talk to her sister for a long time," revealed a source, adding that Selena and Mandy didn't speak for an "entire year" because of that.
Despite her mother's disapproval, Selena and Justin are still together. She, however, likely won't ring in the new year with her beau as she jetted off to Mexico on Wednesday, December 27 with her gal pals, without Justin in sight.
