Melania Trump Slammed for Inappropriate Christmas Selfie
Celebrity

Twitter users are trolling the First Lady for posting a picture of her showing a duck face and using a Santa hat filter.

AceShowbiz - Melania Trump intended to spread the holiday spirit with her Christmas selfie, but Twitter users are not having it. The First Lady took to the micro-blogging site on Monday, December 25 to post the picture with a filter featuring a Santa hat and sparkling reindeer. "#MerryChristmas," she captioned it.

But the 47-year-old has been criticized for the selfie which was deemed tacky and inappropriate for a First Lady. "Seriously? Oh lady, you need prayer. This looks like a pic you would have taken back in your 'modeling' days. Sad! Yo husband going down!!!" one wrote.

Someone said the photo was "Disgraceful for a First Lady, Christmas or not." The Twitter user added, "You look like a model on a photo shoot for the front page of Hustler. I'm sure the elderly and poor will appreciate this photo given how you and hubby don't care about them, only your millionaire friends at Mar-a-Largo."

Another compared Melania to former FLOTUS Michelle Obama, "Stay classy Melania. I miss Michelle." Another comment read, "Incredibly tacky and an insult to the position of First Lady."

The Twitter account for the Socialist Party of Great Britain also shot back, "Unless you're one of the millions poor and deprived by wealthy scum," referring to the controversial GOP tax bill that passed last week.

Melania shared the photo after she and Donald Trump answered phone calls from children inquiring about Santa's sleigh journey, as part of the Track Santa program by the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD). As quoted by CBS News, the President responded to one child's wish list, "Oh, building blocks, that's what I always liked too. I predict that Santa will bring you building blocks, so many you can't use them all."

Melania and her family are spending the holidays at Mar-a-Lago, President Trump's Palm Beach, Fla., resort.
