The 'American Horror Story' actress has expressed her interest to play villain Cheetah in the 'Wonder Woman' sequel starring Gal Gadot.

Little is known about the upcoming "Wonder Woman" sequel except that Patty Jenkins will be back at the helm with Gal Gadot reprising her role as Diana Prince a.k.a. the titular superhero. While the plot is still kept under wraps, many have called for the iconic Cheetah to be the main villain in "Wonder Woman 2".
Recently, one fan suggested that Jenkins cast "American Horror Story" star Sarah Paulson in the role of Diana's main adversary should the comic book character make her debut in the sequel. Indeed, Jenkins doesn't need to look further for an actress to portray Cheetah as the Emmy and Golden Globe-winning actress has expressed her interest to play the villain.
"Hey @PattyJenks , Giving that #WonderWoman 's Rogues Gallery is small, will you use her most famous villain 'Cheetah' in the sequel? I also think that @MsSarahPaulson or @CharlizeAfrica would be perfect for this character if you did use her. @WonderWomanFilm," read the fan's tweet.
Responding to the tweet, Paulson replied, "Yes please @PattyJenks."

Warner Bros. greenlit the "Wonder Woman" sequel following the box office and critical success of the first movie, which was released on June 2 this year. It is set for a December 13, 2019 release in the United States.
"The Expendables" scribe Dave Callaham has been hired to join the writing team, which has already had Jenkins and Geoff Johns on board. Recently, Jenkins denied rumors that she would give the Amazonian warrior a new love interest. Quoting Jenkins' interview on Variety's Playback Podcast, Collider reported that the director promised "Wonder Woman 2" would have a "great" love story as well as "unbelievable" fresh faces in the DC Extended Universe.
Jenkins then took to her Twitter account to say that her statement was taken out of context. "Quite a few people, including this headline, seem to be completely misunderstanding or making some pretty false assumptions based on one of many vague quotes I made about something I can't say ANYTHING about. Just wait," she tweeted to clarify the reports.
