The mysterious role which Sarah Chalke, who took over the role of Becky Conner after Lecy Goranson went off to college, will be playing on the upcoming show has been revealed.

Ever since "Roseanne" revival announced that both Alicia Goranson (a.k.a. Lecy Goranson) and Sarah Chalke were going to star on it, people are wondering how the reboot will make it work. And now, a new report reveals what character which Chalke, who took over the role of Becky Conner after Goranson went off to college, will be playing on the highly-anticipated revival.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Chalke is set to portray a middle-class married woman named Andrea. Andrea will hire Goranson's Becky to serve as her surrogate.
"I love the part! It's such a fun part to play," Chalke shares. The actress goes on saying that executive producers Sara Gilbert and Tom Werner reached out to her and offered her to join the reunion.
"I was so excited to hear that it was coming back. I think the timing is perfect," she says. "I think it's exactly what is needed right now. Right now when the country is so divided, I really think it's a show that brings people together. The writing is so unbelievable. It's so funny."
The reboot of the popular 1990s sitcom promises to bring everything back just like the last time fans watched on its original run. It will explore life, death and everything in between and tackle today's issues through the relatable, hilarious and honest lens of the Conner household.
Returning to the reboot are Roseanne Barr who plays Roseanne Conner, John Goodman who is back as her husband Dan, and Gilbert who once again portrays Darlene. The revival also sees the return of Michael Fishman's D.J. and Laurie Metcalf's Aunt Jackie.
Additionally, the nine-episode reboot features new series regulars and notable returning guest stars. Estelle Parsons, Sandra Bernhard, Natalie West, James Pickens, Jr. and Chuck Mitchell are among the returning guest stars.
"Roseanne" will kick things off with a special hour-long premiere on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at 8 P.M. before moving to its regular time slot on Tuesday 8 P.M. on April 3. "The Middle", which currently airs at the slot, will move to 8.30 P.M. on that day.
