Upcoming series "Titans" has released a first-look photo of Brenton Thwaites ("Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales", "The Giver") as Dick Grayson a.k.a. Robin on the DC superhero series. The newly-released photo gives fans a better idea of what to expect from the Boy Wonder's latest incarnation on the upcoming live-adaptation of the DC comic book.

Brenton's Dick is featured in a moody image. The Batman sidekick is half-shrouded in shadow as he stands against a cloudy background. While holding a staff, his preferred weapon, Dick is looking convincing in a red super suit which is designed by renowned costume designer Laura Jean Shannon, whose credits include "Black Lightning", "Iron Man" and "The Jungle Book" among others.

Although it's not a full-body photo, Robin's signature green gloves are visibly noticeable. The suit also featured the iconic "R" symbol on his left chest.

"Titans" will follow young soon-to-be superheroes that come from every corner of the DC Universe who are led by Grayson. In this action-packed series, Dick Grayson emerges from the shadows to become the leader of a fearless band of new heroes.

In the comic books, Dick is best known as Batman's sidekick, Robin. He was taken under Bruce Wayne's wing after his parents were murdered. After years of fighting crime with The Dark Knight, he comes out of the Caped Crusader's shadow and forms his own new family, the Titans.

The upcoming action-series will also feature a slew of DC Comics' young superheroes, such as Starfire (Anna Diop), Raven (Teagan Croft), Hawk (Minka Kelly) and Dove (Alan Ritchson). The cast also includes Lindsey Gort ("The Carrie Diaries") and Ryan Potter ("Big Hero 6") who have been tapped to play Amy Rohrbach and Beast Boy respectively.

Akiva Goldsman and Geoff Johns serve as executive producers alongside Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter. Johns, Berlanti and Goldman also pen the script for the live-action series.

"Titans" live-action TV series is slated to debut next year on DC's upcoming streaming service.
