The rock banger finds the One Direction member singing about missing an ex-girlfriend, whom he still loves.

AceShowbiz - After two singles, Louis Tomlinson is finally ready to leave the electronic beats behind and embraces his rock star soul. The One Direction member released his third single entitled "Miss You" on December 1. It follows his previous bangers "Just Hold On" featuring Bebe Rexha and Steve Aoki and "Just Like You".

The rock banger finds the British singer singing about missing an ex-girlfriend, whom he still loves. "We're dancing on tables/ 'Til I'm off my face/ With all of my people/ And it couldn't get better they say," he rhymes. "We're singing 'til last call/ And it's all out of tune/ Should be laughing, but there's something wrong/ And it hits me when the lights go on/ S**t, maybe I miss you."

The song is inspired by his relationship with his model girlfriend Eleanor Calder, whom he has an on-off relationship with since 2011. Louis admitted that their broke up in 2015 was what inspired him to write the song. "[On] 'Miss You' I'm talking about the times -- especially the last year of the band -- I was going out all the time," he stated.

"Some nights were great and amazing and some nights you were sat at the end thinking, 'Maybe I really miss you and maybe I took a wrong turn.' " he continued. "I think, as an artist, it is important not to just talk about the amazing times."

Louis is currently gearing up for his debut solo album. In a recent interview, he shared that it would be lyrically inspired by Arctic Monkeys and Oasis as he didn't want the songs to be about unfathomable crazy love story. "I'm from up north, I grew up loving the likes of Arctic Monkeys and Oasis. And the way they tell stories is such an effortless thing. It's real, it's honest and it's to the point," he said.
