The 35-year-old Grammy Winner also revealed that becoming a mother and a wife made her feel sexier, more confident and more empowered.

AceShowbiz - Kelly Clarkson opened up about how she thought she was never sexually attracted to anyone until she met her husband Brandon Blackstock. The 35-year-old songstress has revealed on a private show for SiriusXM in New York that Blackstock was the first man that made her feel something.

"This isn't a downer to anybody I dated before him, but I'm just going to be real: I never felt like, honestly, sexually attracted to anybody before him," she confessed. "And I'm not drowning my exes. You know, everybody's different. But there was something about him."

She continued, "I honestly thought I was asexual. I'd never been turned on like that in my whole life. I was like, 'Oh that's the feeling... Okay! That's what they were talking about in 'Waiting to Exhale'.' I just got it. I just didn't have a clue."

Clarkson then recalled her first meeting with her husband, remarking that she first met him at a rehearsal for Academy of Country Music Awards in 2006. Blackstock, who is known for his work on "Blake Shelton Live: It's All About Tonight", was still married to his first wife Melissa Ashworth at that time. The twosome met again at 2012 Super Bowl, where Clarkson was performing the national anthem.

"I was so nervous because it wasn't that I didn't want to suck for the millions of people watching, I didn't want to suck because I was trying to impress a guy," she recalled the moment. "I wanted him to be like, 'Damn.' It had nothing to do with the Super Bowl."

The couple started dating in the same year and got married in the following year. Now that she has become a mother and a wife, she revealed on Sunday Today that it made her feel sexier, more confident and more empowered.

"Becoming a mother and a wife, I mean, it sounds funny, but I've never felt sexier, I've never felt more confident, I've never felt more empowered," Clarkson said. "I don't think you have to get married or have children to have those things, it's just that's what happened to me personally."
