Video: 'Thor: Ragnarok' Cast and James Corden Crash Movie Theater to Perform the Movie in 4D

Bringing his vision to life, Corden recruits Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Cate Blanchett and more to reenact scenes from the superhero movie in theater.
It's not James Corden if he doesn't come with crazy ideas for funny segments on his talk show. As "Thor: Ragnarok" is set to hit theaters across the nation on November 3, the British comedian recruited the cast of the movie to bring his vision of 4D movie to theaters.

In the segment that aired on "The Late Late Show with James Corden" on Thursday night, November 2, Corden hijacked a showing of the Marvel movie to add a 4D element. This meant the cast, including Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Cate Blanchett, Mark Ruffalo, Tessa Thompson and Jeff Goldblum, showed up live in front of the audience to reenact scenes from the movie.

With limited props and minimum special effects, the 4D performance was more like a theatrical production by high school students, expect that it boasted real actors. The audience, however, didn't complain as they cheered every time they saw the actors getting in action.

Behind the scenes, it was a different story for Blanchett, who appeared to regret her decision to join the project. In between her scenes, she was seen making a phone call, asking the person she talked to to get her out of the performance.

Hemsworth didn't seem to understand the "4D" concept, but he still enjoyed working on it. "That was such, such a rush. I want to do all my movies in 4D," he said after the performance. Goldblum also raved about "Thor: Ragnarok 4D". Hiddleston, meanwhile, wasn't sure if Corden was "the best director" he has worked for.

Just when everyone seemed relieved to have completed the performance, Corden reminded them that they had to get ready for another performance at 7 P.M.

"Thor: Ragnarok" is the third "Thor" movie and directed by Taika Waititi. In the movie, Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer and finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok -the destruction of his homeworld and the end of Asgardian civilization - at the hands of an all-powerful new threat, the ruthless Hela. But first he must survive a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger - the Incredible Hulk!
