AceShowbiz - Last night's episode of "The Walking Dead" season 8 featured big surprise for viewers as it brought back a familiar face that fans haven't seen since the first season. [SPOILER ALERT!] Morales (Juan Gabriel Pareja) surprised Rick and confronted him with a gun turned on him during Rick's attempt to procure guns at a Saviors armory.
"Hi, Rick," Morales said to Rick, who also had another shocking discovery after seeing a little baby girl in a crib. "Your name is Morales. You were in Atlanta," Rick responded, looking obviously surprised by the sudden appearance of his old ally from the Atlanta camp in the freshman season. Before the episode was over, Morales said, "That was a long time ago. It's over, Rick. I called the Saviors back, and they're coming."
In case you need a reminder, Morales is among the Atlanta survivors along with Rick, Lori and Shane. We last heard and saw Morales on the series after he and his family, consisting of wife Miranda and their two young children Eliza and Louis, headed to Birmingham.
The new promo for the upcoming episode 3, titled "Monsters", teases the fallout of the unpredictable reunion. Though it doesn't explain how and why Morales ends up being one of Negan's ranks, the promo shows that Morales is all but joking about turning Rick in to his nemesis, Negan. Pointing his gun at Rick, Morales, who appeared in four episodes throughout the first season, can be heard saying, "We'll get you to Negan."
Also featured in the new promo is King Ezekiel. Things don't seem to go well for him and his men as he is seen putting his hands in the air when a group of people besiege him somewhere in the forest.
Season 8 of "The Walking Dead" airs on Sundays at 9 P.M. on AMC.
