Rose McGowan Says Amazon Studios Ignored Her Claim That Harvey Weinstein Raped Her

After her Twitter account was reactivated, the 'Charm' alum writes to the founder and CEO of Amazon, 'I told the head of your studio that HW raped me. Over and over I said.'

AceShowbiz - Rose McGowan has finally said it out loud. After revealed as one of victims of alleged sexual abuse by Harvey Weinstein, the actress has said on Twitter that the disgraced movie mogul "raped" her. The "Going All the Way" star also claimed that she told Amazon Studios about it, but the studio ignored it.

"I told the head of your studio that HW raped me. Over & over I said. He said it hadn't been proven. I said I was proof," she wrote on Thursday, October 12. The tweet was addressed to Jeff Bezos, the founder and CEO of Amazon.

She continued in following posts, " I had already sold a script I wrote to your studio, it was in development. When I heard a Weinstein bailout was in the works. I forcefully begged studio head to do the right thing. I was ignored. Deal was done. Amazon won a dirty Oscar."

"I called my attorney & said I want to get my script back, but before I could, #2 @amazonstudios called to say my show was dead," she added. "I am calling on you to stop funding rapists, alleged pedos and sexual harassers. I love @amazon but there is rot in Hollywood."

She concluded it with a message, "@jeffbezos Be the change you want to see in the world. Stand with truth. #ROSEARMY #Amazon."

McGowan's tweets come on the heels of her Twitter account being reactivated after temporarily suspended. Twitter explained the suspension, "We have been in touch with Ms. McGowan's team. We want to explain that her account was temporarily locked because one of her Tweets included a private phone number, which violates of our Terms of Service. The Tweet was removed and her account has been unlocked. We will be clearer about these policies and decisions in the future."
