AceShowbiz - Azealia Banks has decided to apologize to Nicki Minaj for negative things she said about the Young Money femcee in the past. Azealia slides in Nicki's Instagram DM to personally and sincerely ask for her forgiveness. The Bronx raptress shows fans that they have buried the hatchet by sharing some parts of the conversation on her Instagram account.
"Hey, I'm not sure if you will see this but I wanted to apologize for whatever catty s**t I've said to and or about you in the past I really do enjoy your artistry and think you're so intelligent and clever," Azealia writes in the first message. "You have a really brilliant art mind and often times remind me a lot of myself."
The "212" rapper then promises that she won't do the same mistake ever again. "You have my word, that from here on out, I will never say any negative or catty things about you ever again," she adds. "Inside of all of us there's a little black girl who cries and the last thing I want to see is that little black girl cry."
Much to Azealia's surprise, Nicki responds to her message. The "Anaconda" hitmaker advises, "You're very talented & very smart. Focus on what really matters from now on." In the post's caption, Azealia admits, "Not gonna lie, I cried a bit when she responded."
A few months ago, Azealia posted a lengthy rant on Facebook to slam Nicki, advising her to "slim down a bit" and criticizing her style. She wrote, "Slim down a bit (especially in your neck and arms_. Decrease the butt just a bit (I've seen your butt make some really expensive dresses look really cheap) and STOP WEARING SPANDEX AS AN OUTFIT FOR F**KS SAKE."
"Also stop calling yourself the queen of rap," Azealia continued. "Queens don't wear spandex sweety. Marketing genius yes, but your cheap made in China perfume smells like car freshener and your beverage tastes like kitchen cleaner."
In the rant, she also celebrated her work with Nicki's ex Safaree Samuels, writing, "Don't start throwing shade cause you miss safaree and know that I've actually made a BANGER with him. Stay tuned for my joint with your man. I really think you're gonna love it!"
That wasn't the first time Azealia took a jab at fellow female rapper. She recently ended her longtime beef with Iggy Azalea by allegedly making music together. Most recently, Azealia sparked feud with Cardi B when she called the "Bodak Yellow" hitmaker "a poor man's Nicki."
