According to the site, the loving spouses, who are parents to 17-month-old daughter Luna, have been attending marriage counseling as their relationship is said to be spiraling downward.
An insider tells the webloid that the 31-year-old model and her singer husband "are having real marriage problems." Another source close to the couple says that things have gotten so serious, as "they have been in marriage counseling for the last six months."
Chrissy's battle with pospartum depression and her excessive drinking, which she recently claimed to have restrained, allegedly have brought the couple "to a breaking point." The insider says that they are "fighting nonstop," but despite that, "they're trying very hard to make their marriage work."
The news comes just a few days after it was revealed that John tried to break up with Chrissy prior to tying the knot, but the "Lip Sync Battle" co-host was not having it. The "Love Me Now" singer noted that the "breakup" only lasted half an hour.
"I was really stressed and busy," the 38-year-old singer said in an interview with The Guardian earlier this month. "I was just like: 'I'd just be happier single right now,' and she was like: 'No.' "
Chrissy later addressed their breakup via Twitter. "11 years later baby," she tweeted. "It was a typical breakup," the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model added in her tweet. "He was on tour and his voice hurt and he was being a shiny face about everything and so year, I was like 'no.' "
Chrissy and John got engaged in December 2011 after four years of dating. The couple tied the knot in September 2013 in Como, Italy. Their daughter Luna was born on April 14 last year.
