After introducing his fans to Caribbean-infused song "Swalla", Jason Derulo is back to his popping music roots with a new single titled "If I'm Lucky". Co-written by Justin Tranter, the breakup anthem finds Jason singing about a failed relationship over bouncing music.

Along with the song, Jason has released its lyric video. Inspired by Michael Jackson's "Thriller" music video, the visuals sees Jason channeling a zombie who is dancing through heartache. He goes all black as he sports a long coat and scary contact lenses while getting dancey with a bunch of the undead.

In a recent interview with Billboard, Jason revealed that "If I'm Lucky" is actually a hopeful love song. "It comes from past relationships that you think most things are good, but for some reason or another, things just don't work out," he said. "They're someone who are really compatible for you but for some reason it just doesn't work. Hopefully that situation can pan out in the next life."

"If I'm Lucky" will be featured on the singer's upcoming album "777". "I am super excited about the album. It's called '777', because that's jackpot," he shared. "I recently reached 100 million in sales, so it feels like I hit the jackpot, like my life is a dream come true."

"It worked perfectly with a lot of the content of the album, and of course the title is 'If I'm Lucky'. It's an album full of vulnerability, but it also has huge party moments," he added. "It's a roller coaster ride. I always have to create an album that has decent values, and I really think this is my best work."
