Kim was slammed by the internet after she channeled Jacqueline Kennedy on the cover of Interview magazine, which dubbed the reality TV star 'America's New First Lady.'

AceShowbiz - Kim Kardashian caused controversy with her Interview magazine's cover shoot. The "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star channeled Jacqueline Kennedy with her coiffed 'do, round collar dress and a pair of white gloves as she graced the mag's September issue cover.

In the photo shoot with photographer Steven Klein, Kim, who was dubbed "America's New First Lady" by the mag, posed with her daughter North. Clad in a Peter Pan collar dress, the 4-year-old little girl was seen joining her mom for some glossy photos.

Following the photo shoot, Steven had nothing but praise for Kim, saying that "as a model, Kim is a chameleon. She can easily change accordingly to the set intention and with little effort. It is her gift: her innate relationship to the camera. A muse of modern times."

While Kim said she would "treasure this shoot forever," not everyone on the internet is loving the look. Many on Instagram and Twitter expressed their frustration and disappointment over the comparison to style icon Jackie, with one user leaving a comment on the mag's Instagram account, writing, "Don't you dare disrespect Jackie Kennedy like this."

Another IG user added that "Jackie is turning in her grave at this garbage." Some other users also pointed out Kim's darker complexion. Many believed the mag darkened the 36-year-old socialite's skin to match her biracial daughter's complexion.

Kim discussed raising a mixed-race daughter in the magazine. "I'm very conscious of it," she told the mag. "Kanye [Kanye West] always has his family around and people who look like my daughter -- that's important to me. She's obsessed with her curly hair, and if she finds someone who has the same hair, she runs to them and is like, 'You have curly hair like me?' "

Commenting on the KKW Beauty co-owner's darkened skin, one wrote on Twitter, "Instead of using this as an avenue to show that we r racially diverse but still one, they darkened Kim's complexion to match her daughter's." Another asked, "I'm not sure what's worse... THIS or black face?"

"lmfao girl why you trynna make yourself look black ???" another user tweeted. "Pretty sure blackface is racist even if you're married to one...And posing like a Kennedy? #WeAllRememberYourPorno," another critical user wrote.

Some people took offense at the mag's cover headline, with one saying, "It is laughable to call Kim a First Lady. She could never be Michelle O or Jackie O. Hell, she's barely even Marilyn [Marilyn Monroe]." Another complained, " 'New First Lady'?!?! @FLOTUS doesn't put her nude and semi-nude pictures online! #Disgraceful @InterviewMag."
