'Will and Grace': Minnie Driver Returns as Karen's Nemesis Lorraine

Minnie is scheduled to reprise her role as Karen's nemesis and stepdaughter Lorraine in one episode of the 16-part upcoming season 1.

AceShowbiz - On the upcoming revival of "Will & Grace", things don't look good for Karen (Megan Mullally). TVLine reports that Minnie Driver, who played Karen's stepdaughter Lorraine Finster, is set to reprise the role in the 16-part season 1.

Minnie, who appeared in season 5 of the original series, is slated to guest-star in an episode. The production of the aforementioned episode will begin this week.

On the original series, Lorraine was introduced as the mistress of Karen's never-seen hubby Stanley Walker. The feud continued as Karen decided to take revenge on Lorraine by sleeping with-and eventually marrying-Lorraine's father Lyle (John Cleese).

Maine will join other guest stars, including Harry Connick Jr. and Tony winner Ben Platt. Rumor has it that Michelle Obama will also make an appearance on the revival.

Harry is set to reprise his role as Grace's (Debra Messing) boyfriend, while Ben's role is kept under wraps. "Time to swooooooonnnnn. Yup! He's backkkkkkkkkkkk. That southern gentleman that stole all of our hearts- @harryconnickjr . There will never be another Leo. @nbcwillandgrace," Debra announced Harry's return on her Instagram account.

The upcoming new season will feature a lavish musical episode, which was teased in the trailer. Prior to the new season premiere, "Will & Grace" revival was picked up for a 13-episode second season on NBC. "There's been such an outpouring of love from the fans," NBC Entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt said. "We're a very grateful network and we're more than thrilled to have this show for a minimum of two seasons."

The original series ran from 1998 to 2006 on NBC. Revolving around a gay man, Will (Eric McCormack), and his best friends, Grace, Jack (Sean Hayes) and Karen, the comedy won 16 Primetime Emmy Awards over its run.

"Will & Grace" kicks off on Thursday, September 28 at 9 P.M. on NBC.
