SHINee will conclude their upcoming Japan concerts without Onew. The "Ring Ding Dong" hitmakers will be performing as quartet during "SHINee World 2017 - FIVE - Special Edition" shows which is set to be held in Tokyo Dome on September 2-3 and in Kyocera Dome on September 23-24.

According to SM Entertainment, Onew will be taking a time of self-reflection and he will not be participating in these concerts. "Regardless of the facts related to the recent events that have caused some concern, Onew has shared his intent on taking a time of self-reflection," SM said in a statement.

"After discussing it with the company, we have decided that Onew will not be participating in the upcoming Japan concerts in September," the agency continued, "We ask for the fans' understanding."

Onew is currently under investigation for sexual harassment. On August 14, Gangnam Police Department revealed that sexual harassment case involving Onew was set to be sent to prosecution for indictment without detention.

According to the police, Onew was accused of touching a part of a woman's body three times at a club in Gangnam on August 12. Police arrived at the scene after receiving reports of the alleged sexual harassment and interviewed the "Sherlock" singer for 5 hours.

Although Onew and the woman were not captured on the CCTV as they were in a blind spot, the police judged the claims by the woman and witnesses as credible because their description matched with the scenes captured on the CCTV.

SM Entertainment previously revealed that the woman dropped all charges against Onew. However, the police are planning to further investigate the case. A police official said, "The victim has suffered from the media and (netizens') investigation of her identity. She has signed the papers to drop the charges due to SM's request, however, she testified the fact that she has been sexually harassed does not change."
