Report: Nick and Vanessa Lachey Join 'Dancing with the Stars' Season 25

Nick and Vanessa will be the second married couple to compete on the ABC dancing series after Alexa Vega and Carlos Pena in season 21.

AceShowbiz - "Dancing with the Stars" will once again pit a married couple against each other. Nick Lachey and wife Vanessa Lachey (previously known as Vanessa Minnillo) are joining the dancing competition series in its upcoming season 25, PEOPLE reports.

Should the casting report be true, Nick and Vanessa will be the second married couple to compete on the show after Alexa Vega and Carlos Pena hit the dance floor in season 21. Alexa finished sixth and Carlos made it to the semifinals in the season. Another married couple, "DWTS" pro dancers Peta Murgatroyd and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, are confirmed to return to the ballroom for season 25.

Other celebrities rumored to compete on the show are "Total Divas" star Nikki Bella and "Property Brothers" star Drew Scott. WWE star Nikki recently said when asked by E! News about the possibility of her joining the show, "I think it'd always be fun to dance, and we love being in front of the cameras!"

ABC won't comment on the casting reports, but a source tells ET about the lineup, "The show isn't holding back this year, they really want this to be a big season and one of the ways they'll do this is with mini rivalries! There will be the twin rivalry with Drew and Nikki Bella and now there are also two couples competing: Nick vs. Vanessa and Maks vs. Peta."

So far, only the pro dancers for season 25 who are confirmed. They include Mark Ballas, Valentin Chmerkovskiy, Emma Slater, Lindsay Arnold, Witney Carson, Artem Chigvintsev, Keo Motsepe, Gleb Savchenko, Sharna Burgess and Alan Bersten, in addition to Maks and Peta.

The celebrity contestants and the pairings will be officially announced prior to the season 25 premiere on Monday, September 18 at 8 P.M. ET/PT on ABC.
