AceShowbiz - A "Bachelor in Paradise" baby is here! Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert, who met and got engaged on the set of the show's season 2 in 2015, have welcomed their first child. Jade's water broke earlier Thursday, August 17, a month before her due date. She gave birth to a healthy baby girl later that day at 10:03 A.M.

The couple tells E! News in a statement, "She's here, our little sweetheart! Tanner and I are very proud to announce the arrival of our baby girl this Thursday morning. There's truly no words to describe the feeling holding you in our arms for the first time and looking into your eyes. We love you, precious girl."

The baby weighed in at 6 lbs., 8.8 oz. and 20 inches long. A rep says she's doing "great so far." The baby's name and picture are not revealed yet.

Jade and Tanner tied the knot in January 2016 and their wedding was documented on "The Bachelor" season 20. They announced they're expecting their first child in March this year. "Jade cried a little bit. I was just really excited," Tanner told In Touch about their reactions when finding out the exciting news after taking an at-home pregnancy test.

Of their plans to share their duties after welcoming their child, Tanner said, "I'll do every other duty if it means no poopy diapers!" Jade agreed, adding, "He works a lot, so I'll gladly take on most of the responsibility. I'm naturally nurturing, and I just can't wait to have our baby."

Prior to this, Tanner revealed he feared he and his wife would divorce. "I'm scared of getting a divorce - that's half the reason why I shut you out," he said when appearing on "Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars" in December. "In the back of my mind, it is scary that something could change for you down the road, because I saw that happen with my family," he explained.

He also admitted, "Me and Jade did rush into a relationship, and we haven't had that time to go through everything together. ... That's probably my biggest fear." It appears that the couple had gone through that fear together and is going strong now.
