Sony Pictures has announced a 2019 release date for its upcoming Spider-Man spin-off "Silver and Black". The untitled Silver Sable and the Black Cat project will open in theaters across the nation on February 8, 2019.

Serving behind the lens for "Silver and Black" will be Gina Prince-Bythewood, the filmmaker behind 2008's "The Secret Life of Bees" which starred Dakota Fanning, Queen Latifah and Jennifer Hudson. According to producer Amy Pascal, the film will exist separate from the MCU.

Sony has also set a release date for its upcoming sequel to "Sicario". Titled "Soldado", it is scheduled for a June 29, 2018 release. It will be directed by Stefano Solima and see the return of Benicio Del Toro and Josh Brolin.

Additionally, the studio has announced that the release date of Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly's comedy pic "Holmes & Watson" is pushed back from August 3, 2018 to November 9, 2018.
