When a folk king meets a country star! Niall Horan has been quietly working on his debut solo album, and the One Direction star apparently has recorded a duet with Maren Morris. Titled "Seeing Blind", the track was premiered during Capitol Congress gathering at Hollywood's Arclight Cinemas on Wednesday, August 9.

During his performance, the Irish heartthrob told the attendees that he asked Maren to hit the studio together with him by e-mail. The country singer "happily accepted" the invitation to lend her voice on the acoustic-based song with "infectious chorus."

"Seeing Blind" will be featured on Niall's upcoming solo album, which is expected to arrive later this year. The 23-year-old singer previously released some tracks off the effort, including "Slow Hands" and "On the Loose". He shared that his upcoming album would have "folk-with-pop feel to it."

"Some songs are heavier than others," he explained. "I play a bit of electric on some tracks and we obviously played around a lot with percussion stuff to build up the songs so there was a lot of things going on percussion wise."

Niall is currently gearing up for his first solo tour, which will kick off with a hometown show in Dublin, Ireland on August 29. He will be criss-crossing the globe for the next five months before wrapping up the trek in San Francisco on November 22.
