AceShowbiz - The Kidd Creole of Grandmaster Flash & the Furious Five has been arrested and charged with murder in the stabbing death of a homeless man. The hip-hop pioneer, whose real name is Nathaniel Glover Jr., allegedly stabbed homeless ex-con John Jolly, 55, on a Midtown street in New York after the man called Creole a gay slur.

"On Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at 2352 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a male possibly stabbed at East 44 Street and 3 Avenue within the confines of the 17 Precinct," reads a police report obtained by Rolling Stone. "Upon arrival, police observed a 55-year-old male with multiple stab wounds to the torso. EMS also responded and transported the male to Bellevue Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased ... The investigation is ongoing."

Creole, who works as a handyman and security guard near the scene, was reportedly on his way to his job when he had a run-in with Jolly who was believed to be drunk. "They had no prior relationship," a police source tells NY Daily News. "They had words. Things got out of hand. It was some sort of diss."

"He turned, interpreting that the guy was making an advance toward him," the source adds. "One thing led to another, and he shivved him twice in the chest." According to TMZ, Creole stabbed the man with a small knife twice in the chest and once in the head.

The rapper was taken into custody on Wednesday.
