AceShowbiz - Jennifer Lawrence and Margot Robbie are reportedly feuding over a lead role in Quentin Tarantino's upcoming movie about the infamous Manson Family murders. The two have been cast in the film and they are vying for the same role of Sharon Tate.
"Margot's got the edge and the looks to play doomed Sharon but Jennifer's not giving in," a so-called insider tells OK!, noting that "nothing has been set in stone yet." The source adds that both stars have gone as far as bribing in their attempt to get the role. "They're both trying to influence Quentin with texts and emails and lunches," the source dishes on.
According to the insider, Lawrence and Robbie's rivalry has begun several years ago. "They really have a vicious rivalry that goes back three or four years and are constantly battling over female leads in movies because they're both blonde and around the same age," so the source claims.
Debra Tate, the sister of Sharon Tate, recently told TMZ that she would like to see Margot Robbie playing her slain sister because she doesn't think Jennifer Lawrence is "pretty enough." She explained, "That's a horrible thing to say, but I have my standards. My pick would be Margot simply because of her physical beauty." She added of the "Suicide Squad" star, "And the way she even carries herself is similar to that of Sharon."
The untitled Manson Family murders project is based on the 1969 murder spree conducted by four members of the Manson Family, a cult led by Charles Manson. The murders took place in the home of actress Sharon Tate, the wife of director Roman Polanski, who was killed when she's eight months pregnant, alongside four others. Manson and other members of his "family" were sentenced to life imprisonment in 1971.
