"Quantico" welcomes a new recruit. Oscar winner Marlee Matlin ("The L Word") joins the cast for the ABC series' 13-episode season 3, playing a character named Jocelyn Turner.
Jocelyn is an ex-FBI agent who was known at one time as the best undercover agent in the field, until a bomb blew up near her and rendered her deaf. The FBI put her out to pasture, but now she's being brought back to join a special unit with several other returning characters.
Marlee will star on the series alongside four returning series regulars, breakout star Priyanka Chopra, Jake McLaughlin, Johanna Braddy and Blair Underwood. Michael Seitzman will serve as the new EP/showrunner following the departure of showrunner Josh Safran.
Marlee is the only deaf performer to have won Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role. She won the award for her excellent performance in "Children of a Lesser God", in which she starred opposite William Hurt. Marlee's other credits include "Seinfeld", "The West Wing" and "Switched at Birth".
