G-Dragon's bodyguards didn't allow the fan to talk or take photos with the rapper, but the 'Crayon' hitmaker later paid for the fan's meal.

G-Dragon of Big Bang is surely a generous person. A lucky fan named James Fung took to Instagram to share how the "Untitled, 2014" hitmaker paid for his meal after an encounter at Japanese restaurant Ichiran in New York City over the weekend.
James was incredibly touched by G-Dragon's kind gesture. "Ran into @xxxibgdrgn last night at #ichiran his bodyguards didn't let us talk/take pics with him but we found out later that he paid for our dinner," he wrote alongside a photo of the rapper at the restaurant. "Maybe if I have approached him by saying something in korean, things could've turned out different..? We didn't get to thank him for the dinner because he came out later than us,, thank you GD!"
Fans expressed their jealousy in the comment section. "Y'all so lucky damn. I'd do anything to be in ur place!! King GD did that!!!!" a fan wrote. Another commented, "Wow seeing GD and also having a free dinner you must've been so lucky that day."
However, some fans suspected that the encounter might be fake. "I've heard you don't actually pay at ichiran the way you do at a regular restaurant. You have to buy a meal ticket (?) beforehand. So it seems as though this might be fake," one of them said. "I thought in ichiran you paid before you get a seat?" another added.
A fan later clarified that Ichiran restaurants in the United States have a different system from those in Japan. "It's not necessarily fake. The ichirans in Japan makes you pay using the vending machine but since this concept is confusing to Americans, the ichiran in NY makes you order at the booth & gives you a normal bill after you've eaten," the fan explained.
