AMC has also released a trailer for 'Fear the Walking Dead' season 3B, seeing the aftermath of the war between Walker's people and the Ottos.

AceShowbiz - "The Walking Dead" panel was one of the highly-anticipated events at the San Diego Comic-Con on Friday, July 21. As expected, AMC made use of the occasion to drop the first trailer for the show's season 8.

The video is packed with intense and action scenes as it highlights the big showdown between the Alexandria-Hilltop-Kingdom coalition and the Saviors led by Negan. It ends with a shot of Rick, who now grows his beard and has gray hair, lying in a bed. A cane is seen in the room. The video fades to black after Rick opens his eyes.

This scene led to a speculation that Rick was waking up from his coma and that entire zombie apocalypse was just his dream. That, however, is not possible as Robert Kirkman had ruled out such a scenario in the past.

If you have read the comic books, you may have known that this is instead a major time jump. After the "All Out War" storyline, time passed during which Alexandria lived in peace. As for the cane, it is also in line with the comic and hints at what happens to Rick during the war against the Saviors.

AMC has also released a trailer for the second half of "Fear the Walking Dead" season 3. Following the big war between Walker's people and the Ottos, the community faces a water crisis. They appear to team up to get water supply, but tension quickly builds up again between Madison and Walker. The video also sees more reunions, with Salazar running into Madison and Victor offering some words of consolation to her.

"It's going to get darker and deeper," showrunner Dave Erickson told EW about Nick keeping the secret that he killed Jeremiah Otto. "I think there's now a big secret. They've committed a murder, and there's going to be a conspiracy that surrounds that. And I think one of the big questions of the back half is how is Nick and ultimately, Alicia and Madison are going to be able to process what they've done, and then what happens when the sons learn how the father really died."

"The Walking Dead" season 8 premieres Sunday, October 22 at 9 P.M. ET, while "Fear the Walking Dead" returns Sunday, September 10 at 9 P.M. Both shows air on AMC.
