Is Rae Sremmurd officially over? If Media Take Out is to be believed, the two members of the group Swae Lee and Slim Jimmy "have decided to end the group." Although the real-life brothers reportedly don't have any hard feelings for each other, Slim Jimmy is said to be pretty upset over the decision.

The site further claims that the two rappers want "to go in different directions." A source close to Slim Jimmy allegedly tells the outlet that Swae Lee wants to break up the group because he has done well on his own. "Why does [Swae Lee] wanna break up the group now, he's trying to steal all the shine," the so-called source says.

Although it is still unclear whether Rae Sremmurd is really over, rapper Joe Budden recently confirmed it. While debating the potential winner for the Best Collaboration category of the upcoming BET Awards, the rapper mentioned that Rae Sremmurd "broke up" when he read the group's hit song "Black Beatles" on the nominee list. "Rae Sremmurd broke up, so I'm not going with 'Black Beatles'," he bluntly said. "If they didn't announce it yet, I'm sorry."

The split speculation comes after Swae Lee announced a new solo project. He has been teasing fans on social media about the new project, which is called "Swaecation", for a while now. In an Instagram video, he announced, " 'Swaecation' coming soon. 'Swaecation' got all the bangers. Coming soon."
