AceShowbiz - "Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets" has just added "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" star Elizabeth Debicki in a voiceover role. According to Variety, Debicki's casting is "a last-minute addition" to the STX Entertainment and EuropeCorp movie, which is set to be released in the U.S. next month.

Besides appearing in "GOTG Vol. 2" as villain Ayesha, Debicki made a significant appearance in Leonardo DiCaprio-starring "The Great Gatsby", for which she won an accolade for Best Supporting Actress at AACTA Awards. She also appeared on TV miniseries "The Night Manager", which starred Tom Hiddleston. Debicki will next be seen in "God Particle" and will have a voice role in "Peter Rabbit".

In Luc Besson's "Valerian", Valerian (Dane DeHaan) and Laureline (Cara Delevingne) are special operatives for the government of the human territories charged with maintaining order throughout the universe. Valerian has more in mind than a professional relationship with his partner, blatantly chasing after her with propositions of romance. But his extensive history with women, and her traditional values, drive Laureline to continuously rebuff him.

Under directive from their Commander (Clive Owen), Valerian and Laureline embark on a mission to the breathtaking intergalactic city of Alpha, an ever-expanding metropolis comprised of thousands of different species from all four corners of the universe. Alpha's seventeen million inhabitants have converged overtime, uniting their talents, technology and resources for the betterment of all.

Also starring in "Valerian" are Rihanna, Ethan Hawke and John Goodman. The movie based on French science fiction comics "Valerian and Laureline" is set to hit U.S. theaters on July 21.
