Fresh off her show-stopping medley performance at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards, Nicki Minaj is ready to grace another award-giving event with her presence. It has been announced that the raptress will perform at the first-ever NBA Awards which is produced and hosted by her labelmate Drake.
Nicki has taken to her Instagram account to share the good news, and fans freak out as they wonder if the rapper would make her own live debut performance of her collaborative track with Katy Perry, "Swish Swish". Along with a snap of herself, she writes in the caption, "Performing @ the first ever #NBAAwards, hosted by Drake - June 26th on TNT #SwishSwishBish."
Nicki has also shared a behind-the-scenes clip of her rehearsing the song in a gym. Sporting a black tee and matching leggings, she shows off her body moves with four female backup dancers, while "Swish Swish" is played in the background. She simply captions the clip, "They just strut. #SwishSwishBish #BarbieBackInEurope."
Meanwhile, her Young Money labelmate, Drake, seems excited to host the event. "I get to take the reins on it," he previously said. "I love hosting. I love being in a room full of iconic legendary people I look up to and having that pressure to make them laugh and enjoy their evening."
The highly-anticipated awards show will honor the leagues' biggest stars, including the former coaches and players, and current stars. It will also feature the appearances from the Sports Emmy Award-winning "Inside the NBA" studio team, such as Ernie Johnson, Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith and Shaquille O'Neal.
The 2017 NBA Awards will be held at Basketball City at Pier 36 in New York City, and will air on June 26 at 9 P.M. ET on TNT.
