Sam Smith is working on his second studio album, a follow up to his 2014 album "In the Lonely Hour". Rumor has it, the "Stay with Me" hitmaker has had at least one writing session with Clean Bandit so far.

However, Clean Bandit's Jack Patterson was cagey when he was asked about how the sessions went. According to Daily Star, Sam always wanted to do collaboration, but nothing came of it. The former Clean Bandit violinist, Neil Milan, reportedly mocked Sam's James Bond 'Spectre' theme song "Writing's On The Wall".

Clean Bandit believed to have recorded a new tune with Sam. When asked about the rumored collaboration, Jack said, "That's interesting, where did you hear that?" According to Neil, the song was "just a flaccid copy of Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' " Now that he's gone, it has "opened the door again."

Besides Sam, Clean Bandit is also working on the new Jess Glynne record. Jack said, "We've been in the studio with Jess and that's been really great. Her stuff is sounding amazing. Her voice sounds better than ever."
