Lena Dunham was rushed to hospital during the Met Gala on Monday night, May 1, according to a new report. While other celebrities partied until early Tuesday, the 30-year-old actress went from the gala to the emergency room due to health issue.
A source told Page Six that Dunham was forced to leave the event held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in N.Y.C "when she suffered a medical issue." But thankfully, the "Girls" star was discharged after a series of tests, revealed the insider.
As of now, no further details are known about Dunham's health issue. While both Dunham and her rep haven't released any official statement regarding the incident, the source told the news outlet that the actress is now doing well.
Dunham took to her Instagram account to share some photos from the fashion gathering as well as thank Elizabeth Kennedy for her glamorous custom frock. It seemed she posted the photos, one of which featured her posing behind Joe Jonas, after she was released from the hospital, as they're published around 2 A.M. ET.
